CPER is a bimonthly publication of the CPER Program. The journal provides up-to-date, nonadversarial information to those involved in employer-employee relations in California's public sector. Our audience includes labor relations practitioners (both labor and management), lawyers, arbitrators, mediators, and employees in state and local government, public schools, and higher education.

Six times a year, subscribers receive approximately 90 pages of comprehensive information on public sector employment relations at all levels of California government. This includes featured articles from experts and practitioners from the public sector.

Subscriptions to the CPER journal are available for $250/yr.

  • Feature Articles by experts in the field from both sides of the table.
  • Recent Developments. Comprehensive coverage of the latest negotiated agreements, alternative bargaining experiences, court decisions and pending litigation, statutory changes, economic indicators, and more.
  • Summaries of all rulings of the Public Employment Relations Board and precedential decisions of the Fair Employment & Housing Commission.
  • Arbitrators' Awards and developments in this burgeoning field.
  • Reviews of useful books, cds, and websites.

CPER Index
CPER periodicals are indexed annually, and the index automatically is sent to subscribers in June. Annotated and cross-referenced, the index is arranged in four parts: (1) the general index, by topic and by employer and employee organization; (2) a table of court decisions; (3) a table of final PERB rulings, and (4) a topical index of arbitration awards.

To purchase copies of past indexes, call the CPER office at (510) 643 - 7092
