The Latin American and Caribbean Journal of Legal Studies is an interdisciplinary journal, in both print and online format, of academic research into law and legal institutions. It promotes and publishes studies at the interface between empirically grounded rational choice theory and historical study and contextual analysis. It emphasizes social-science approaches, especially those of the economic approach to law, and economic history, but it also publishes the work of area specialists, legal historians, philosophers, and others who are interested in Roman law and legal theory.

Frequency: annually.



Articles are published as soon as they are ready. The current volume is Volume 2 (2007).
